REVEALED! The request N’golo Kante made to Pitso Mosimane that left him shocked!

Al Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane has enjoyed a very successful last couple of days on the global stage.

Mosimane led Al Ahly to a third place finish at the FIFA Club World Cup last week, breaking a few records in the process. 

Al Ahly prevailed through injuries

Mosimane’s Al Ahly clinched a bronze medal at the Club World Cup, after a resounding 4-0 drubbing of Al-Hilal of Saudi Arabia. What made the victory even more impressive for Mosimane’s charges was the fact that, the Al Ahly side had to do with a whole host of senior player absentees. These absentees were due to both injuries/illness as well as Africa Cup of Nations involvements for some the players most prominent players.

What made the victory even more impressive for Mosimane’s charges was the fact that, the Al Ahly side had to do with a whole host of senior player absentees. These absentees were due to both injuries/illness as well as Africa Cup of Nations involvements for some the players most prominent players. 

Mosimane entered history books

That bronze medal was enough to plant Mosimane firmly into the history books, not once, but three times. After that feat, Mosimane became the fIrst Al Ahly coach to win back to back Club World Cup medals, first African coach to win back to back bronze medals and the first coach in the world to win two bronze medals in a row at the global showpiece.

In the aftermath of the tournament, Mosimane got to meet a few Premier League stars, who of course play for eventual Club World Cup winners, Chelsea. One of those players was French World Cup winner N’golo Kante, who made a request that left Mosimane shocked.

Reveals Kante request

“I was amazed by Kante asking me if I could get Dieng to meet him. Humility at its best. God Bless Kante!”  said Mosimane on his official Twitter account afterwards.

Kante already has a reputation of being one of the most likeable players in world football, and with his request to Mosimane, he has just gone on to solidify that.
