REVEALED! How much Siyethemba Sithebe will lose after failed Kaizer Chiefs move

Kaizer Chiefs spent the entire January transfer window pursuing AmaZulu’s Siyethemba Sithebe, with no luck.

Although Chiefs are thought to have secured Sithebe’s signature for the new season, they failed to reach an agreement with AmaZulu over an early release.
Chiefs offered to players in exchange
Chiefs were supposedly on hand to offer two players as an exchange to Amazulu releasing Sithebe early during the previous window. However, AmaZulu chairman Sandile Zungu then dismissed the offer publicly, claiming that his club should be respected and not offered rejects. That then proved to be the end of that particular transfer saga, with the player staying put at Usuthu. Furthermore, Sithebe’s agent Musawakhe Sithebe revealed that the player was not short of options.

Chiefs looked to be embroiled in four dragging transfers in the past transfer window, with both Sundowns and Pirates involved in at least two of the three. Besides Sithebe, the glamour boys were thought be actively engaging in talks to sign Teboho Mokoena, Sipho Mbule as well Victor Letsoalo. None, of those moves looked to materialize, however, but they could draw solace in the fact that, they had already secured Sithebe’s signature for the end of the season.

While Sithebe can also draw solace from that, it has since been brought to the fore that his failed January transfer window move to Chiefs will cost him big time. Speaking to Kick Off, a source with inside information of what was at stake, reveals the hefty fee, the dreadlocked midfielder is set to miss out on.
How much Sithebe stands to lose for staying at AmaZulu
“Besides the club saying they will not play him, this move has also cost him close to R500 000 in earnings over the next six months. This is besides a salary increase, also including bonuses that he was set to earn at Kaizer Chiefs between now and June. AmaZulu tried to match the Chiefs offer, but it was too late and the player had already made up his mind. It’s just unfortunate that besides losing the opportunity of making money, the club is saying they will not play him,”. Concluded the source.
