Orlando Pirates injury update: Bucs duo cleared BUT…
Orlando Pirates co-coach Fadlu Davids has confirmed the return to training of two important members of their squad.

Speaking to Metro FM’s Ultimate Sports Show on Thursday, Davids revealed that goalkeeper Richard Ofori is back after a long injury lay-off.
Ofori has been out since October 2021 when he injured himself while on international duty with Ghana against Bafana Bafana.

At first, Ofori’s injury didn’t look too serious but the Pirates medical team discovered a rapture in the goalkeeper’s hamstring.
Davids further confirmed the return of winger Vincent Pule whom he said was cleared by the Pirates medical team on Thursday.

However, Pule can only be expected to be back in full action in the next three weeks due to fitness concerns.
Pule suffered a Grade III tear of the quad in October 2021, and he was initially expected to be out for 12 weeks.

OFORI AVAILABLE FOR ORLANDO PIRATES BUT NOT PULE FOR NOW
Pirates take on JS Saoura of Algeria in their opening CAF Confederation Cup group stage match of Group B on Sunday.
Kick-off at Orlando Stadium is at 18:00.

And the Pirates technical team could be tempted to throw Ofori straight into the starting line-up to give him some minutes.
In his absence, Pirates relied heavily on Siyabonga Mpontshane as their No.1 with Wayne Sandilands as his deputy.
