We need to start well – Mokwena
“We know that our opposition have been in the country for the last two and half weeks, or more, they’ve played friendlies against Stellenbosch FC, against Cape Town City,” Mamelodi Sundowns co-coach Rhulani Mokwena said.
“Their preparations have gone well, it’s gonna be a difficult game. We put forward three stadiums to CAF, and upon inspection, CAF were not happy with the stadiums for various reasons from lacking adequate generators, to not being satisfied medical facilities, not being satisfied with the dugouts and the safety of the chairs.
“CAF proposed that we use FNB Stadium, but the difficulty with the FNB Stadium is clearly knowing that Mamelodi Sundowns’ arch-rivals use the FNB Stadiums.
“In some of the dates where we have home fixtures, Kaizer Chiefs also have their own fixtures, and that became a no go so we had to resort to using the Royal Bafokeng stadium.”
