Kaizer Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter is wanted fired as Amakhosi’s coach. Is it the majority or smaller sections of fans who want the Brit gone?

PETITION GETS CREATED BY KAIZER CHIEFS FANS TO REMOVE BAXTER

According to reports, the club’s followers have created a petition that invites all fans who want Stuart Baxter to be fired to forward to sign the request.

It has not been confirmed when the written appeal was created,  but the numbers suggest it was today, Wednesday 16 February.

According to Soccer Laduma, no less than 1 400 Kaizer Chiefs fans have supported the call to get Stuart Baxter fired, thanks to a string of poor results in 2022.

These poor results presumably refer to two matches, the shock loss to TS Galaxy in the Nedbank last 32 and the dry 0-0 draw against Cape Town City on Tuesday night.

“Following the club’s goalless draw against Cape Town City on Tuesday, a petition called ‘Baxter had his chance’ has surfaced and has gained over 1400 signatures already,” the outlet said.

Additionally, the report says Kaizer Chiefs fans want assistant coach Arthur Zwane to take over as head coach alongside Baxter’s second assistant Dillion Sheppard.

BAXTER SHARES GOOD AND BAD NEWS ON NKOSINGIPHILE NGCOBO

As The South African reported in Tuesday night’s team news, Amakhosi went to the Green Point to battle Cape Town City without Nkosingiphile Ngcobo.

As expected, fans were not pleased and answers had to be offered by coach Stuart Baxter.

“Mshini (Ngcobo) has got a bacterial infection, so he couldn’t play,” Baxter said via Soccer Laduma.

Switching to the good news, Nkosingiphile Ngcobo is set to realise his Kaizer Chiefs dream of becoming the club’s creative star player.  Read the full story here.
