The BIG question on all Amakhosi supporters’ lips is whether or not coach Stuart Baxter will hand veteran goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune a start – or even a spot on the bench.
Baxter has relied on Daniel Akpeyi as his first-choice ‘keeper in the DStv Premiership to date, but last weekend opted for Brandon Peterson in goal with Bruce Bvuma on the bench in Amakhosi’s embarrassing 1-0 Nedbank Cup Round of 32 defeat to minnows TS Galaxy.

Will Baxter go back to Nigerian Akpeyi for Tuesday’s must-win clash in the Mother City or will he need the call from the Amakhosi faithful for ‘Spider Kid’ to be given a chance?
Khune has played just ONE match for Kaizer Chiefs since August last year, although he did have two impressive performances for his Warriors FC team in the recent DStv Compact Cup where the fans voted him in ahead of team-mate Bvuma.
Baxter had all sorts of excuses and reasons for his decisions surrounding the goalkeeper pecking order at Naturena, but let’s wait and see what transpires during the day.
That all-important Kaizer Chiefs line-up tweet is going to break the internet!

In their last five meetings in all competitions, Amakhosi have won three times along with one defeat and a draw.
Kaizer Chiefs simply can’t afford not to win
In their most recent league match on 21 April 2021, Cape Town City beat Kaizer Chiefs 2-1 at the FNB Stadium while prior to that on 16 January 2021 Amakhosi ran out 2-1 winners at the Cape Town Stadium.
