Are you’re an Orlando Pirates fan without a Valintine? You can choose a player from the club as your Valentine. If you have a real special someone in your life today, well you can also have another one in football terms and for fun.

ORLANDO PIRATES POST COOL SOCIAL MEDIA VALENTINE’S DAY CONCEPT

Many clubs in the DStv Premiership have posted a variety of boring Valentine’s Day content, but we do appreciate the effort. However, Orlando Pirates seemed to have won what we can call the Valentine’s Day Cup.

The club’s Twitter account created a gif video that featured fast-moving faces of the team’s players. Fans were then invited to open the video before snapping a screenshot that will capture a random player’s face who will then be their lucky Valentine.

“Happy #ValentinesDay2022 #Buccaneers!,” the club said.

“Comment with a screenshot of your Orlando Pirates Valentine and spread the love,” the post added.

Several fans did as invited. Some of the Twitter users and Bucs fans revealed to have ‘chosen’ the likes of Thembinkosi Lorch, Abel Mabaso, Zakhele Lepasa, Nkanyiso Zungu, Ntsako Makhubela, and Olisa Ndah.

FORMER ORLANDO PIRATES WINGER DEFENDS MANDLA NCIKAZI

Is it the majority of Bucs fans that want coach Mandla Ncikazi out or it’s just a small section? Whatever the real ratio is, the pressure to fire a coach always spreads rather rapidly.

Whether it is the majority or minority of the support base who want the former Golden Arrows coach out Soweto, the club’s former number seven and respected pundit Mabalane has heard the calls.

Mabalane believes that it is simply way too premature for Bucs to be changing a coach. With all things considered, every coach should only be judged after a full season in charge.

“There’s a lot Ncikazi has done for the team,” Mabalane said.

“First we need to realise when he arrived at the club, If I remember correctly it’s been less than a year.

“He hasn’t completed even his first season with the club. So for me, it’s unfair to judge him on this.” Read the full story here.
