Well-known player agent Mike Makaab feels SuperSport United midfielder Sipho Mbule can easily earn himself a big-money move at the end of the season.

Mbule, 23, was during the recent January transfer window strongly linked with a move to Mamelodi Sundowns, but that didn’t materialised after Matsatsantsa CEO Stan Matthews said the player would have to earn a transfer from the club as he still has two years left on his contract.

So far this season, Mbule has made 10 appearances for SuperSport United in all competitions having last played in a 2-2 Dstv Premiership draw against, ironically, Mamelodi Sundowns on 24 November 2021.

In an interview with Soccer Laduma, Makaab said Sipho Mbule must stay grounded and stay focused on hard work at training if he wishes to achieve his desired move.

“There’s little doubt in my mind, with Mbule really working hard for the next three or four months, he can get a move,” Makaab said.

“He is a professional footballer, he has to do that, irrespective of his disappointment. For his own sake and for his image, because other clubs will look at him and think this young man wanted the move, it did not happen, but look at the fire he is producing for his football club.

“Then I have no doubt in my mind, that before the end of the season a deal will be done for Mbule to move on. He understands that and he is on board. After my talk with him, I would be very surprised if Sipho does not really show his talent over the next four months at SuperSport,” Makaab added.

Sipho Mbule was excluded from latest SuperSport United squad

SuperSport United excluded Mbule from their matchday squad for their Nedbank Cup Round of 32 clash against Maritzburg United on Wednesday which Matsatsantsa won 1-0.
