Police arrest boss woman who allegedly seized baby over mother’s inability to clear debt

The Nigeria Police Force has reportedly arrested the boss lady who allegedly seized her employee’s 5-month-old baby due to inability of the baby’s mother to repay the delivery loan.

The lady identified as Madam Tina Ogbonnaya is said to have helped her employee with some amount of money to clear her hospital bills and when the young mother wasn’t able to pay back, she seized the baby, starved him and only returned him at a deteriorated state.

The baby subsequently passed on as a result.

However, in a recent development, activist Harrison Gwamnishu who shared the news has revealed that the woman is being detained at Divisional Police Station Ajah, Lagos State.

Sharing photos of the lady, he wrote:

“The face of Madam Tina Ogbonnaya, currently detained at Divisional Police Station Ajah, Lagos State.

We commend the division police for their job BUT want the case transferred to Homicide department SCID.

Thank you all for your support”
