More than 100,000 people have signed a petition on change.org calling for the Euro 2020 final between England and Italy to be replayed due to alleged prejudice.
Following a 3-2 penalty shootout victory against England, Italy was declared Euro 2020 winners.

However, there were protests and allegations of bias in the final officiating. According to Naija News, the match at Wembley Stadium ended 1-1 after 120 minutes, forcing a penalty shootout.

However, a petition on change.org was established to have the match replayed, claiming that it “wasn’t fair at all.”

A photo of Giorgio Chiellini restraining Bukayo Saka was used to emphasize the seeming inequity.

It is also claimed that the triumphant Italians engaged in “pushes, tugs, and kicks,” and that they should have been given “a red card for their gameplay,” with the match repeated with a “non-biased” referee, presumably to offer England a greater chance of winning.
