Concert: Another N200,000 fine for Naira Marley by Abuja Mobile Court

Popular Nigerian Singer, Naira Marley, was this morning August 7, arraigned before an Abuja mobile court for violating COVID-19 protocols.

The Federal Capital Territory Administration filed a four-count charge against him bordering on hosting a driving in concert at Jabi Lake Mall in Abuja, flagrantly violating PTF COVID-19 directives on June 13, flouting the presidential ban on Interstate travels and public gatherings.

Naira Marley expectedly pleaded guilty after the charges were read to him, hence, the presiding magistrate Idayat Akanni handed down a fine of N200, 000 on him. This comes a day after a mobile court in Lagos also fined him and his manager N100, 000 for travel out of the state for the concert.
